TWS Michael Schulthes

Technisch-Wissenschaftliche Software
At present TWS Michael Schulthes offers 2 systems for Complex Modulus Testing:
Test according to the method of Dr. Oberst
This
test measures Loss-Factor and E-Modulus at steel strips covered with
the damping material on one side. The strips are clamped to the Oberst
Stand and excited at the free end using a magnetic exciter transucer.
The vibration is measured using a inductive velocity transducer.
The system can measure up to 15 test strips simultaneously within 5 minutes per temperature value. It uses either random noise or a sine sweep for excitation
and performs all operations from setting the temperature until
storage of the results fully automatically. A low-cost
program version supporting ordinary soundcards for PCs is also
available.

Two channel Stand BSS 202
Test using the Reverberation Method on square plates (SAE-Method, Peugeot Method)
When
using this method a square plate is covered with the damping material
unter test and excited at the first resonace using a
sine signal. Then the signal is switched off and the reverberatin
curve is analysed.
This system works fully automatically too and has been designed for use with standard sound cards.
